
Marina Monsisvais founded Barracuda Public Relations to be the megaphone for all the great things happening in El Paso. She has grown the company from a boutique PR agency founded around her kitchen table into one of the most recognized and respected small businesses in El Paso. A graduate of New Mexico State University, Marina has leveraged her commercial media experience and her deep engagement in the El Paso-Juárez community to create an indispensable resource for local businesses, non-profit organizations and government institutions.
Marina’s involvement in each client project ensures that everything we do is infused with the look, feel and optimistic attitude for which Barracuda is known. Under Marina’s leadership, Barracuda PR has remained fully responsive to our fast-changing media landscape, expanding services to include social media management, video content creation, direct email marketing and a full suite of design services.
Marina is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Martin Bartlett draws upon a lifetime of loving maps, roads and bridges to oversee Barracuda’s growing portfolio of transportation infrastructure projects. He has built and helped execute meaningful, bilingual, cross-platform public involvement plans for projects including I-10 Connect, the El Paso Streetcar Project, the Horizon Boulevard (FM 1281) Corridor Study and the Reeves County Truck Reliever Route. His work extends beyond Barracuda’s transportation clients to non-profits and businesses as well.
Upon graduating from the University of Mississippi, Martin enjoyed a successful career in broadcast journalism covering state and local governments for television stations across Texas – including here in El Paso. In 2012, he earned accredited membership in the Congress for the New Urbanism. He is currently pursuing a Certificate in Transportation Operations and Planning from the University of Florida’s Department of Civil and Coastal Engineering.

Nancy Trevizo oversees financial and human resource services at Barracuda Public Relations.
While the entire Barracuda team is passionate about creative communication, Nancy makes sure our record-keeping and reporting are accurate, straight-forward and client-friendly.
As CFO, Nancy is skilled in budgeting, due diligence, documentation of procedures and policies, general ledger and financial reporting. She earned her MBA from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2020.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and staying updated with the fashion industry in her spare time.

Dave Acosta is a nearly lifelong El Pasoan with a passion for local food, art and music. As Barracuda’s Chief Storyteller, he gets to dig deep into those passions every day. His ultra-sharp writing skills and deep understanding of border culture allow him to execute public relations strategies which immediately resonate with the public and the press.
In addition to his work introducing new franchises to the market and gaining exposure for creative clients, Dave leads Barracuda’s storytelling services for the Hospitals of Providence, the Paso del Norte Health Foundation and the Paso del Norte Community Foundation.
In his free time, Dave enjoys traveling, going to concerts and collecting music and sneakers. Previous to joining the Barracuda PR team, Dave covered entertainment and music for the El Paso Times.

Ana Gaby Becerra oversees the creation of sophisticated, resonant, bilingual campaigns that cohesively tell our client’s stories across platforms and on both sides of the border. Overseeing Barracuda’s social media and design services, Ana Gaby is able to seamlessly ensure that campaigns are both appealing, consistent and optimized for social media, print, direct mail, outdoor, or wherever else your story needs to be told.
Her portfolio of high-visibility projects includes the El Paso Streetcar Project, El Paso Matters, El Paso Giving Day, Sun Cycle Bike Share program, the City of El Paso’s Comprehensive Bike Plan, Tom Lea Month, Horizon City Economic Development Corporation and The Canyons at Cimarron. She is certified by the National Institute for Social Media. Ana Gaby holds a double degree in graphic design and organizational communication with a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Jacobo De la Rosa is an award-winning graphic designer whose work focuses on social justice and the uniqueness of our bi-cultural, bi-national community.
Jacobo earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from the University of Texas at El Paso. During his time at UTEP, De la Rosa managed the design and layout of The Prospector Daily. He also served as Art Director for Minero Magazine.
His designs have been prominently featured in BBB Paso del Norte’s Buy El Paso campaign and the Paso del Norte Health Foundation’s Reduce the Risk campaign.
In his free time, Jacobo illustrates and designs concepts that interests him. He also enjoys trips to the cinema and playing his guitar.

Gabriel Garcia cohesively executes brands and campaigns across platforms for some of Barracuda’s most highly-visible clients. His portfolio also includes animated illustrations, creation of digital characters and highly detailed interactive maps. Gabriel also works closely with Barracuda’s social media team to create custom graphics and illustrations reflecting a client’s aesthetic voice.
Gabriel is flexible and adaptable and even steps in to edit video work for our social media team when needed. Gabriel’s commitment and passion for the arts and the community are evident in his work. He will be part of the American Institute of Graphic Artists-Austin Chapter’s Design Ranch 2020. Gabriel is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso.

Regina Garcia leads social media content creation and account curation for some of Barracuda’s most dynamic clients, including Spaceport America and I-10 Connect. Regina ensures that all social media spending directly correlates to the goals of a client or a particular campaign. Regina is also well-versed in building effective target audiences to deliver laser-focused messages with maximum efficiency.
A graduate of Texas Tech University, Regina has also earned certification from the National Institute of Social Media helping Barracuda become the first certified social media agency in Texas.

Joe Najera is an award-winning photojournalist who has made a career telling the stories of the people and places that make Far West Texas and Southern New Mexico special.
Joe puts more than 15 years of experience to work for Barracuda’s clients by shooting high-definition, broadcast-ready media kits; producing live, multi-camera social media broadcasts; and capturing compelling still images which tell a client’s story in an instant.
During his time at KFOX-TV, Joe traveled to Cape Canaveral to cover El Paso astronaut Danny Olivas’ first mission into space. Joe’s experience behind the camera also includes managing a team of nearly a dozen photographers at KFOX. In his time at The Catholic Diocese of El Paso, Joe was responsible for all aspects of video coverage during Pope Frances’ visit to Ciudad Juárez.

Angela Saavedra is experienced in developing and managing social media content across platforms for clients to maximize their online presence and reach their target audience. Angela holds a degree in multimedia journalism from the University of Texas at El Paso and is certified by the National Institute of Social Media.
Before joining Barracuda, Angela served as Print and Digital Media Editor at Education Service Center Region 19. She is proficient in the design, development and maintenance of websites as well as the design and distribution of electronic newsletters. Her other skills include digital content creation, web and social media management, photography, videography and graphic design.

Alexandria Viescas is a born and raised El Pasoan whose passions are journalism, creative writing, and event planning. She began at Barracuda Public Relations as an intern in April 2019. She is currently Barracuda’s Special Projects Coordinator and works on media relations and executing community relations projects.
Before joining Barracuda, Alexandria began her professional career in the restaurant and bar industry, where she managed locally owned businesses and coordinated events where she acquired many leadership, organizational and personable skills. Alexandria is also a freelance journalist, enjoys writing poetry, reading, cocktail bartending, and traveling.
