Job Title: Chief Storyteller
Department: Public Relations
Reports to: CEO

Job Summary:
Chief Storyteller writes and/or assigns and edits all written client materials (including press releases, video scripts, blogs, social media copy, graphics copy, etc.) along with taking project lead duties as PR Specialist for some clients (client management, project management, media scheduling and coordinating, etc.)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

    – Delegate copywriting for press releases, social media, scripts, etc.
    – Edit, copy edit and approve copy content for press releases, social media, scripts, etc.
    – As project lead, oversee pitches to media, media scheduling and coordinating
    – Schedule photo/video production
    – Assign graphic design content to creative team

Duties/Responsibilities:

    – Writing and editing content for press releases, social media, scripts, etc.
    – Pitches to media, media scheduling and coordinating
    – Lead several projects at the same time
    – As project lead, send all material and content for client approval
    – As project lead, provide social media and earned media reports to clients
    – Weekly or bi-weekly meetings with clients/projects
    – Review video/photo content
    – Review graphic content

Education and Experience:

    – B.A. in public relations, journalism/multi-media, marketing or related field.
    – At least three years of experience in writing for public relations and/or journalism; experience in supervisor and/or editor position preferred.
    – Experience with communicating public works projects is a plus.
    – Bilingual, and ability to read and write Spanish copy a plus.
    – Familiarity with the El Paso/Cd.Juarez community is a plus.

Job Title: Chief Social Media Strategist
Department: Digital Marketing
Reports to: Creative Director

Job Summary:
The Chief Social Media Strategist will oversee Barracuda PR social media team and its clients. This person will work with the team to create custom social media strategies to meet each individual client’s needs. They will produce and execute social media content calendars, create and manage ads, as well as deliver monthly reports among other marketing related duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

    – Oversees the social media team
    – Oversees the daily workflow of client accounts
    – Provides constructive feedback to social media team
    – Trains social media strategists
    – Troubleshoots social media issues/new technologies as they arise
    – Monitors social media teams’ ad accounts and metrics

Duties/Responsibilities:

    – Manage, create and publish original, high quality content for social platforms
    – Creates custom social media strategies that meet individual client needs
    – Client facing consultations as needed
    – Administers clients’ social media accounts to ensure up-to-date content
    – Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets
    – Liaise with writers and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
    – Facilitate live streams, promotions and giveaways
    – Prepare monthly reports for clients
    – Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
    – Train internal teams to integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy
    – Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practice

Required Skills/Abilities:

    – Proven work experience as a Social media strategist or Social media manager
    – Proven ability to supervise and coach others
    – Hands on experience using social media for brand awareness
    – Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
    – An ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them
    – Familiarity with web design and publishing
    – Excellent multitasking skills
    – Create content calendars
    – Strong written and verbal communication skills
    – Ability to manage and keep track of budgets
    – Excellent knowledge of paid advertising through social media platforms like Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, Twitter Ads Manager, Tik Tok Ads Manager, Snapchat Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
    – Stay on top of new technologies and trends and adopt relevant ones as needed
    – Monitor and build community with social media account audiences
    – Rapid response to real-time occurrences that require social media posts
    – Manage multiple client’s social media accounts simultaneously

Education and Experience:

    – BS degree in Marketing or relevant field
    – At least two years related experience required.
    – NISM Certification Preferred.
    – Bilingual, and ability to read and write Spanish copy a plus.

Physical Requirements:

    – Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    – Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
