Marina Monsisvais, Owner
Marina Monsisvais founded Barracuda Public Relations to be the megaphone for all the great things happening in El Paso. With more than 12 years of experience working in public relations, including special event coordination and promotions, Marina is well established in the El Paso community as the go to public relations and social media professional.
Marina’s involvement in each client project ensures that everything we do is infused with look, feel and optimistic attitude for which Barracuda has become known. Under Marina’s leadership, Barracuda PR has remained fully responsive to our fast-changing media landscape expanding services to include social media management and content creation, direct email marketing and a full suite of design services.
Martin Bartlett, Lead Strategist
Martin Bartlett is an avid hiker, road-tripper, and lover of all things El Paso and serves as the primary point of contact for Barracuda’s clients. His public relations career has focused on public works projects for local government agencies in El Paso. He’s well-practiced in creating and executing multiplatform communications strategies, public involvement plans and community engagement activities.
Before making the jump to public relations, Martin enjoyed a successful career in broadcast journalism covering state and local governments for television stations across Texas – including here in El Paso.
Ana Gaby Becerra, Director of Design
Ana Gaby Becerra has created sophisticated, engaging bilingual campaigns for high-profile clients including the El Paso Streetcar Project, Sun Cycle Bike Share, the City of El Paso’s Comprehensive Bike Plan, Tom Lea Month, Horizon City Economic Development Corporation and The Canyons at Cimarron.
Her design concepts are the cornerstone of Barracuda’s strategy to cohesively tell our clients’ stories across all platforms. As Barracuda’s Director of Design, Ana-Gaby oversees campaign implementation on social media, in print, direct mail, outdoor, and wherever else your story needs to be told.
Crysti Couture, Social Media Strategist
Crysti Couture is a social media strategist, trainer and speaker certified by the National Institute for Social Media. By focusing on engaging content and effective targeting, Crysti builds strategies which allow Barracuda’s clients to better connect with their customers and target audiences. Before joining the Barracuda team, she managed social media for Destination El Paso, and wrote for a variety of local print and online publications such as Fusion Magazine and the El Paso Times.
During her free time, Crysti enjoys running, volunteering with the Texas Park and Wildlife Department, researching local history, painting, and spending time with her fiancé, son, and three dogs. She also serves on committees and boards for the Texas Trost Society, Paso Del Norte Health Foundation and the Boy Scouts of America – Yucca Council.
Dave Acosta, Public Relations Specialist
Dave Acosta is a lifelong El Pasoan with a passion for local food, art and music. As a veteran of El Paso’s music and nightlife scene, he is uniquely knowledgeable about all things fun on the border. In his free time, Dave enjoys traveling; going to concerts; and collecting music and sneakers. Previous to joining the Barracuda PR team, Dave covered entertainment and music for the El Paso Times for three years.
Dave’s ultra-sharp writing skills and deep understanding of border culture allow him to execute public relations strategies which immediately resonate with the public and the press.
Regina Garcia, Social Media Specialist
Regina Garcia is a social media specialist for Barracuda PR. She enjoys hanging out and is a huge viewer/lover of everything sports. Regina’s day-to-day duties include executing client’s social media strategies by creating content video and imagery across all platforms of communication. Her go-getter attitude, clear communications skills, attention to detail and reliability help contribute to Barracuda.
Alejandra Urquide, Graphic Design Specialist
Alejandra Urquide is a graphic designer originally from Mexico who enjoys reading novels and traveling. She started in Barracuda as a Social Media Manager in 2015. Since then she has stepped into her role as Junior Graphic Designer working with multiple clients such as the Alamo Drafthouse and El Paso Giving Day. Her background in design and event planning, as well as their ability to speak Spanish, helps us create strong, visual, dynamic and bicultural campaigns.
Before working in public relations she was an avid member of the art community while participating and working in multiple art shows and art galleries. Alejandra really loves Mexican culture and strives to include a little of that essence in each of her designs.
